Am Morgen lerne ich den Direktor des Oceania Centers kennen. Er ist gerade aus dem Krankenhaus zurück und hat einigermassen viel zu tun heute.

Unterhalte mich mit einigen der anwesenden Künstler, Allen, aus Samoa, Choreograf einer Gruppe von Tänzern. Er ist ziemlich traurig heute: Wieder verlässt ihn einer seiner wichtigsten Tänzer. Geldprobleme. Er hat einen Job in einem Ressort bekommen.

Allen ist schwul und Polynesier. Ob er Probleme hier hat in Fiji? Nein, es ist super hier, alle sind sehr nett zu ihm. Aber ausserhalb der Uni? Ja , da sind die Leute schon sehr ablehnend gegenüber ihm, aber er sei ja stark genug, er würde sich schon wehren. Und die Inder, wie reagieren die auf ihn? Oh, das weiss er nicht. Aber die Inder haben doch diesen Gott Shiva, der soll ja auch beide Geschlechter haben.

Kelvin von den Solomonislands hat eigentlich Physik studiert, bevor er am Oceania Center als Toningenieur hängen blieb. Seit 8 Jahren macht er jetzt diesen Job. Hm, teilweise etwas geschmäcklerisch, sein Einfluss, zuviel Orgelklänge für mein Geschmack...

Präsentation am Abend. Einige Tänzer, eine israelische Psychologieprofessorin und ihr holländischer Mann, Lilian, Chefsekretärin des Centers, Kelvin Rore, der Soundmann und ein paar Unbekannte.

Laizas Video lässt die schwulen Tänzer loslachen. Die ist ja halbnackt! Was macht die da mit dieser mit Tatoos bemalten Glasplatte. Hält sie sich vors Gesicht, dass ihr Kopf tätowiert aussieht. Eigentlich nicht so schlecht. Ziemlich cool...

Verwirrung mit KritzkratzCity. Kelvin steigert sich in schlechte Laune, böse Teile der CDRom. Ich glaube, es lag an Kelvin. Er ist dann gleich abgehauen und wir haben seitdem kein Wort mehr gewechselt. Zu dritt halten wir Thorsten Nass Riesenzeichnung hoch. Auch eine Performance. Nataschas Dogcam verstehen alle. Aber ist das nicht auch ein sehr trauriges Video? Lilian macht ein Foto, als ich Riki Tangaroas Gemälde hochhalte wie zu einer Versteigerung. VJs am Ende. Almostsync erschreckt eher, Maschs Beninvideoclips versöhnen wieder. Uff! Abbau ganz alleine. Die Tänzer haben sich schnell abgesetzt, zu einer langen Geburtstagsparty, wie ich am nächsten Tag erfahre.
