Um kurz nach sechs in der Früh steht Charles von VGLOB in meinem Zimmer. Ich bin noch beim Packen. Auf zu Grundschule Ecoile la Sagesse.

Köln Germany "Kritzkratz City" CDR Es klappt erstmal wieder gar nichts. Der Computer streikt, das aktuelle Videomaterial auf der externen Festplatte lässt sich nicht auf den Videoprojektor ausspielen. Ein technisch sicher faszinierendes Problem, dass es hier zu lösen leider keine Zeit gibt. Stattdessen heisst es dreissig 8jährige Kinder und ein höchst skeptisches Kollegium im Schach zu halten, ausserdem die ausserschulischen Mitarbeiter: Charles von VGLOB und Simone, die neue Volutärin von VGLOB, die allerdings nächste lieber wechselt zu einer anderen, kirchlichen Organisation. Faszinierend, dass die Kinder hier das gleiche Problem haben wie so viele Erwachsene: sie hören einfach nicht zu, ausser man brüllt sie an wie einen schwerhörigen Hund. Hm, soll ich diesen Eindruck jetzt gegen MICH interpretieren? Ich versuche etwas anderes... Fola von VGLOB meinte, er wäre froh, dass er als Kind in der Schule geschlagen wurde, sonst hätte er gar nicht pariert. Der Englischlehrer meinte nach unserem gemeinsamen Workshop-Tag, soviel wie heute hätten die Kinder in der ganzen letzten Woche nicht gemacht. Hm, was ist der Lehrstoff der Schule? Zunächst vor allem die Integration in die Gesellschaft. Wie auch immer die aussieht. Diesem Land fehlt es eindeutig an selbstverantwortlichen Führungskräften. Wer auch immer es sich erlauben kann, verlässt das Land. Oberstes Lernziel der Schule kann also nur heissen: Ausharren, Abfinden mit dem Schicksal, Unterordnung. Ein Bild malen? Das kann nur heissen eine Malvorlage kolorieren. Ein Foto machen? Ein Motiv nachstellen. Insofern ist das Banyan-Prinzip des Remix von Kunstwerken vielleicht garnicht so verkehrt hier: Nur, hier an dieser Schule gebe ich die Modifikationen sehr klar vor und freue mich über die "Fehler", die dabei passieren. So werden aus irgendeinem Grund die Nachzeichnungen der Marktszenen von Mr. Suama aus Bali anschliessend mit einem Ornament übermalt. Als ein Kind damit angefangen hat, machen das die anderen gleich nach... Und als die Malerei von Riki Tangaroa von den Cook Islands nachgestellt werden soll, kommt es fast zum Tumult: Wir bilden einen Kreis aus Palmblättern, das ist die Cook-Insel, bevölkert von viel zu vielen 8 jährigen Schulkindern aus Lomé in Togo. Und ein Kind macht Fotos und eins das Video. Und natürlich, alle wollen aufs Bild, und so kommt es zu einem extremen Ungleichgewicht auf unserer kleinen Insel... Bei der Abschlusspräsentation am Nachmittag schauen alle ca. 200 Kinder der Grundschule zu, und das ist ein Riesenspass für alle. Die "Macher" sind mordsstolz danach. Und sogar der Direktorin hat das gut gefallen, obwohl sie einwenden musste, das sie nicht verstanden hat, worum es eigentlich geht. Aber ich soll unbedingt wieder kommen! |
