Andreas und ich machen uns auf den Weg zur Lycee du Taaone mit Julian G. Er leitet dort einen Theaterworkshop für Schüler, für Schülerinnen, Jungs interessiert das anscheinend nicht.

Sie haben gerade ein Tanzstück mit japanischen Einflüssen umgesetzt. Wir improvisieren, und es ensteht eine sehr schöne Videoaufzeichnung. Nächste Woche gehts weiter.

Am Mittag treffen wir Lise Benoit-Capel, eine Filmemacherin, Sie gibt einen Ausschnitt aus ihrem Film "Die Legende von der Ratte und dem Tintenfisch" dazu, eine Umsetzung eines Märchens der Kanaken von der Insel Lifou, Ureinwohnern Neukaledoniens. Ihr wunderschöner Beitrag: Ein Ritualtanz um den Banyanbaum, eine Matamorphose vom Tier zum Menschen.

Zurück zum Festival. Aufbau in einem Zelt direkt neben dem Banyanbaum. Wieder kommen Künstler vorbei. Jean Jouet, ein Neonartist bringt zwei Computerausdrucke. Er will eine portable Skulptur hinzusteuern. Er ist Kunstlehrer beim College de Papara. Und er wird uns nächste Woche einen bewohnten Banyanbaum zeigen.

Seine Bemerkung: Das ist das erste mal, dass zeitgenössische Kunst in Tahiti gezeigt wird! Und das auch noch völlig kostenlos!!
