Ok, heute war es ganz spannend an der Hochschule. Die Studenten kamen fast eine Stunde zu spät, und entsprechend sauer war ich und hab ihnen das auch gleich zu verstehen gegeben. Dannach war auf einmal eine recht konzentrierte Arbeitssituation. Ich erkundigte mich über ihren Background, Jobs etc. Besonders hart erschienen mir ihre Lebensumstände aber nicht, viele verdienen in diversen kleinen Jobs nur etwas zusatzliches Geld zu dem was sie von den Eltern bekommen. Wir setzen die Arbeit vom Montag fort, ich hatte sie gebeten in 2 Stunden jeder mindestens 1000 Zeichnungen zu machen, automatische Schnellzeichnungen, ohne dabei gross aufs Blatt zu schauen. Ich wollte sie sich etwas lockern lassen mit ihrem photorealistisch verkrampften Malstil und ihnen zugleich Mut machen Sachen auszuprobieren, die nicht unbedingt gleich super seriös sein müssen.

Nach den 2 Stunden bat ich die Studenten, die Zeichnungen auf unserer kleinen Bühne an Fäden aufzuhängen, sodass eine Art Baum entstand. Dannach war am Montag angesichts völliger Erschöpfung erstmal Feierabend, und heute erst konnten wir fortfahren und Videoaufnahmen davon machen.

Ich bat die Studenten, regungslos zwischen den aufgehängten Zeichnungen zu verharren, während jeweils einer mit der Videokamera durch diesen Wald von Zeichnungen und Menschen "flog". Ich hatte die Zeichnungen in den Computer geladen und konnte ihnen so auch ein erstes Videoprogramm für Live-Effekte vorstellen: Videodelic, und ich zeigte ihnen, wie man Zeichnungen in Photoshop optimiert und daraus dann Bildsequenzen erstellt. Schwere Erschöpfung danach, und wir machten erstmal eine Pause im Freien bei Eiskaffee. Dann ging es weiter: Ich bat die Studenten, mir Worte zum Banyanbaum zu sagen, die ihnen einfielen, wir filmten uns dabei. Die Worte verteilte ich an die Studenten, an jden zwei und ich bat sie, dazu bis nächste Woche eine Arbeit zu erstellen: Im Stil traditioneller handgemalter Werbeschilder sollen sie zu jeweils zwei dieser Worte Infotafeln erststellen, mit figürlicher Malerei und Schriftblöcken usw.

Und eine weitere Aufgabe: Bis Mittwoch sollen sie jeder eine kleine Szene für ein Stab-Puppenspiel entwickeln, zum Banyanbaum, versteht sich.

Und ich wies sie nocheinmal darauf hin, dass Prof. Amrit Chusuwan von jedem eine eigene künstlerische Arbeit zum Banyanbaum erwarte, die er benoten möchte. Grosses Schnaufen, aber ich fragte extra nochmal, ob sie lieber meine Aufgaben wollten, oder ob sie ganz frei zum Thema arbeiten wollten und ich ihnen bei ihren Projekten behilflich sein sollte. Und siehe da: sie fanden das alles ganz ok so.

Weiter mit Malerei. Automatisches Malen, oder besser die Vorstufe davon. Ich zeigte meinen Kontiki-Film. Dazu bat ich die Studenten, sich rund um ein sehr grosses Blatt Papier zu setzen und dieses während des Videokuckens zu bemalen, ohne sich gross auf die Malerei zu konzentrieren. Das kam ziemlich gut an, ich hatte das Gefühl , in eine Art visuellen Karaokespass hineingeraten zu sein. Eigentlich haben nur noch süsse Getränke und leckere Snacks gefehlt. Aber wir sind ja im Untericht. Soweit heute.

Spannend dannach: bei einer recht langweiligen Austellungseröffnung von einigen Studentenarbeiten traf ich drei Studenten wieder, die mit Video arbeiten. Sie alle waren die letzten Tage nicht gekommen. Hm, ein gewisser Wind von Arroganz gegenüber den einfachen Malereistudenten, der mir da entgegenweht. Mal sehen nächste Woche...

I asked the students to remain rainless between the hung up designs during in each case one with the video camera by this forest of designs and humans "flew". I had loaded and could the designs into the computer to them so also a first video program for Live effects present: Videodelic, and I showed them, how one provides designs in Photoshop optimized and from this then picture sequences. Heavy exhaustion thereafter, and we made first times a break in the free one with ice coffee. Then it continued: I asked the students to say to me words to the Banyanbaum which occurred to them, we filmed myself thereby. The words I distributed to the students, on jden two and I asked her to provide in addition until next week a work: In the style more traditionally more handpainted advertising-describe are it to in each case two of these words info. boards to firstplace, with figuerlicher painting and writing blocks etc.. And a further task: Until Wednesday they are to develop everyone a small scene for a staff doll play, to the Banyanbaum, understand themselves. And I pointed out it still once that Professor Amrit Chusuwan of everyone expects its own artistic work to the Banyanbaum, which it benoten would like. Large Schnaufen, but I asked specially again whether they wanted rather my tasks, or whether they wanted to work completely freely to the topic and I should be helpful in their projects them. And see there: they found that of all completely ok in such a way. Further with painting. Automatic painting, or better the preliminary stage of it. I showed mean account AI film. In addition I asked the students to set themselves approximately around a very large sheet paper and to paint this during the Videokuckens, without concentrating largely on the painting. That arrived rather good, I had the feeling into a kind visual Karaokespass to have ended up. Actually only sweet beverages and leckere Snacks were missing. But we are in the Untericht. So far today. Excitingly then oh: with a quite boring Austellungseroeffnung of some student work I met three students again, who work with video. They all had not come the last days.
