Natalia Borissova is a Russian multimedia artist currently based in Munich.
She studied book design at Moscow press academe. Has worked with different media: panting, design, photography, installation, Internet, experimental video/computer motion imaging, real time AV manipulations.
Borissova has directed/produced numerous experimental video-art pieces and music videos
Her films had been screened/presented in Russia, Europe, the US, Canada, Australia at
different events and festivals including:
Internationaler Award for Video Art'. (ZKM Karlsruhe),
VideoMedeja' (Novi Sad), OSTraneni (Dessau), in Cinema museum (Moscow), Media Forum (Moscow), Goethe Institut. (Toronto), University of Theatre and Film Sofia, Duke University USA, State university at Buffalo; Akademie Schloss Solitude ( Stuttgart), Videonale'.(Bonn), Pandemonium (London), European media art festival (Osnabrueck) and other.
She also has won several prices and grants such as: Grant Academe Schloss Solitude, Internationaler Videokunstpreis "Die 50 Besten" (ZKM) 98, Cinematographers union price in Moscow.
Her visuals had been performed live at clubs in Munich, Moscow, Ukraine.
Video-films from her had been broadcast on ("CULTURE" channel Russia, SWR Germany) and included in Anthology of Russian Video-Art collection.
She was a visiting faculty in Computer Art at SUNY at Buffalo, NY.
